A New Season for Meadow Lake Homestead

There’s something about winter that invites reflection, the quiet, the stillness, the way everything rests beneath the surface while new life prepares to grow. This year, that quiet has given me space to look at Meadow Lake Homestead with fresh eyes and ask an important question:

Who are we becoming?

Over the past few years, our little homestead has shifted and stretched in ways I never expected. We’ve grown through seasons of change, created new things, let go of old things, and found ourselves drawn again and again to the same truth:

A meaningful life is built with intention.

That’s the heart behind our rebranding. We’re working on a new logo that feels more aligned with who we are now. Rooted, creative, simple, and full of purpose. It’s been a joy to rethink what Meadow Lake Homestead represents and how we want to show up in the world.

This past year also brought some beautiful milestones. We published our first devotional. A project that grew out of quiet mornings, honest conversations, and a desire to offer something encouraging and real. And now, we’re stepping into a whole new creative adventure with the Millie Makes Magic series. This is a gentle, homestead-inspired chapter book series with the first book currently moving through the publishing process. It’s been a dream to bring Millie’s world to life.

And soon, another season begins: the garden. I can already feel the anticipation of turning the soil, planning the beds, and watching the first green shoots appear. There’s something grounding about preparing a garden that reminds me that growth takes time, and that beginnings don’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

As Meadow Lake Homestead enters this new chapter, I’m excited to share more regularly. You can expect stories, updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and the small moments that make this life feel full. My hope is that this space becomes a place of encouragement, creativity, and connection.

Here’s to new beginnings, gentle growth, and the beautiful things waiting just beneath the surface.
